National Association of Women Artists - Artist of the Week

“As a figurative sculptor in clay and bronze, I look for inspiration in human nature and observations in everything, every day…dreams, writing, poetry, books and meditations.

My method begins with drawings and maquettes in clay. If I follow the creative vision, the piece will become what it was intended to be whether I am making conscience decisions or allowing the form to develop. In any one piece I might mix multiple materials be it clay, bronze, paint, mosaic, aluminum, or modern resin, to create a work independent of the base material. The final narrative is what matters and its connection to the viewer.”
